Cannon

I made this animation of a cannon firing:




I think it is fairly good, but it could have a bit more impact somehow.

I also made this as a parody of a Melies film, it is where the cannon ball ends up:




I think this works well too. I am not sure the moons facial expressions are animated quite right though.

The Inevitable Has Happened

One of the reasons I have never had a page on this site, or any other blog site, until now is that I knew I just would not be able to leave it alone. I have been fiddling with the background, and made a slightly snazzier one than the rubbishy default ones. I noticed that you can in theory have an animated .gif file as a background, which would be interesting, but would annoy the hell out of anybody trying to read it. I suppose I could have a small animation in the bottom corner. I am still not satisfied with my background.

I am going to go and eat now... I think I will have rice and vegetables... It sounds healthy, but it isn't, at least thats what the girls in my flat tell me.

I see you can change the font colour to ridiculous things like red, how dumb is that??!!

Flower

This was a test animation I did of a flower growing from a seed.




I don't like the fact that the ground moves, that went wrong.

I think the way the flower pops out at the end is quite funny, which I suppose is a good thing.

Pedro suggested not having the roots so I have done a new version. He also suggested having the flower come out facing the direction the stalk has grown. I don't like this version quite as much as the first version, as I don't think its quite as funny. I think it shows the stretch and squash of the flower better though, so it is more successful in that sense.
